In my one of my recent posts about Boston anti-heroes SKIMASK, I mentioned a supposed "list" of bands I am proud to see representing Boston's underground scene. If this "list" really existed, my all time local fav's Fat History Month would definitely be on it. When I see Fat History play (and I've seen them countless times), it is hard for me to resist the urge to grab every person I know and demand that they listen to this band. In the current sea of Boston bands, much like their buddies SKIMASK, Fat History Month clearly stands out as one of the most original, interesting, and engaging bands playing in the city right now. This should be no surprise to anyone who has seen them live, and if you haven't, you should fucking get on that. I could literally continue to gush for pages about these guys, but I think they'd like it better if I just let their music do the talking. That being said, here is "No Safe," a track from Fat History's upcoming LP "Fucking Despair" on Sophomore Lounge records. Clocking in at 1:45, its clearly just a tease of whats to come, but I'm already psyched. The record comes out in August, but the band hopes to have some tape/CD previews of the album available at their summer tour kick-off show with buddies Ugh God at Problem House 7/23. So check out the tune below for a taste-but if you need some more, they gots a
bandcamp page.
And yeah. The cover's got a pear with a dick on it.
