[back to the future] Now Again Records releases "Those Shocking Shaking Days: Indonesian Hard, Psychedelic, Progressive Rock & Funk 1970-1978"

Buddies-If you give even two shits about anything on this blog, you might want to head over to your local record shop and pick up this excellent new compilation from the folks over at Now Again Records titled "Those Shocking Shaking Days: Indonesian Hard, Psychedelic, Progressive Rock & Funk 1970-1978." I just picked up my 3 LP copy over at Weirdo Records after checking out a quick mp3 sample online, and let me tell you...it was well worth the dough. This comp has pretty much everything you would hope for in a psych/funk compilation; fuzzy guitars, warped farfisa tones, sick drums, spaced-out screams & shouts, and best of all, HARD FUCKING GROOVES--many created in direct opposition to the strict censorship laws of a totalitarian regime. I was also psyched to find a 15 page booklet inside that not only gives some historical background to the music, but also detailed descriptions of the artists and tunes that appear on the comp.
