I got this little 7" in the mail this morning. I'd read about both these groups for a while, but had never really had the chance to check them out. "Summer Reading" is a great value- two bands, 4 tracks, and a free digital download. And the tunes? Well, they're pretty nice. Both groups work within a similar sphere of melodic lo-fi psychedelia, but to me, the record doesn't seem redundant. If anything, I think this 7" show great promise for both groups in the future.
