[news to us] Prefab Messiahs Release "Peace, Love & Alienation" on Fixed Identity Nov. 15th

I first officially met Kris Thompson of the Prefab Messiahs at one of our pRIMORDIAL sOUNDS shows at Middlesex Lounge. I say "officially met" because before that point, though we hadn't talked, I'd seen Kris literally all over town. He's not only been a player in a number of local acts, including his current gig in Bobb Trimbles Flying Spiders, but he's also a major supporter of the local scene. At some point this past year, I was fishing through my roommates 7 inches and found a copy of The Prefab Messiahs' Franz Kafka / Prefab Sun single. I was blown away. I talked to Kris about it the next time I saw him, and he hinted at a possible reissue in the works.

Well, it looks like that hint has payed off. Gary War's Fixed Identity label is set to release Peace, Love & Alienation, a compilation of newly remastered tunes from 1982-83 on November 15th, 30 years after the bands first show. If that wasn't enough, the record will also come with a 18 page screen printed scrapbook/zine full of vintage posters, art, press, and more. Check out the mp3 of the opener "Beyond All That" and the '83 music video for the closer, "The 16th Track" below, then head over to the Fixed Identity site to pre-order your own copy.
