[back to the future] Beauregard Ajax - "Kaleidoscope" & "I Will Be Looking Away" (S/T) 1968/2006, Shadoks

Beauregard Ajax's Deaf Priscilla is one of the greatest "lost" psych albums of the late 60s. Produced by the legendary Bob Keane (Ritchie Valens, Bobby Fuller Four) in late '67/'68, Deaf Priscilla combines the best elements of West Coast & British psychedelia of the day. Unfortunately the band could never really get off the ground and broke up before the record was even released. Word has it that the tapes circled around Europe for a number of years until the folks at Shadoks re-issued it in 2006. I'm not sure there are many (or any) LPs out there, but the CD is pretty easy to find. Check out "Kaleidoscope" and "I Will Be Looking Away" below. Big thanks to Nighttime Gallagher for the heads up on this one.
