Julian Lynch's "Mare" was easily one of our favorite releases last year, so we're pretty excited to hear some of the new tracks off his upcoming LP "Terra" from Underwater Peoples (out April 26th). Lynch's music is difficult to explain in words; its soft spoken and subtle, but also incredibly intricate and powerful. Lynch's work studying ethnomusicology at the University of Wisconsin is a clear influence on his diverse sound, which is seeped in about as much earthly folkloric atmosphere as you can get. Check out the tunes below, and keep on eye out for more updates on will likely be one of the stand-out records of 2011. [P.S. ...I know saxophone wank can be hard to take (believe me)...but give it a chance.]
